Chondrus Crispus- Glass Cyanotype

£95.00

I have always been interested and influenced by the cataloguing of nature- natural history artifacts, early cyanotypes, x-rays, microscopic images and botanical drawings. These glossy green enamelled wallpieces inspired by early victorian cyanotypes look good hung alone or in a group. They are accurate one off drawings of each specimen etched into the glass with the latin name handwritten label covered with a glass slide with gold leaf detail.

Chondrus Crispus—commonly called Irish moss or carrageenan moss—is a species of red algae which grows abundantly along the rocky parts of the Atlantic coasts of Europe and North America.

Comes carefully wrapped in a special gift box, with a 10% discount code off your next purchase.
