As part of my latest ACW funded project- Mutualism. I worked with Bangor University’s Ocean Sciences Department. These Sea Collection Bottles are in the form of the bottles in which they take samples of ocean to test for oxygen levels. A mould was taken of the actual bottle and reproduced in glass using the lost wax process, the cast glass bottles are then coldworked and polished to a fine finish. The removable stoppers are made from intriguing natural finds from my local area in North Wales- this one is a found feather set in a wooden post, finished with gold leaf detail. The layers of different colours of glass emulate the waves on the beach.
